Small Tables to Bring in a Seating Arrangement in the Kitchen
A small kitchen table can be such a beautiful nook in the kitchen to be able to sit at and have your first cup of tea or chat casually with your family or friends. It makes for a great place to have a heart to heart.
I had a tiny kitchen, so there was only room enough for me to be able to fit in one table and a few chairs. I liked to get a small one that is unique and yet functional. I was not very keen on picking one from large furniture stores as that might be the table that everyone has.
I wanted the mind to be a standalone piece and not a real regular one. At the same time, I wasn’t looking at spending a whole lot of money on it, because my budget was on a shoestring and didn’t want to spend a whole lot of money on it now. I spent quite a bit of time looking around but hadn’t found what I needed.
What I did?…..
The first thing for me to decide was whether I would like a round or a square table. If someone is tight on space, then the round table is actually out of the question. Occupy a whole lot of space and in a small kitchen are a big no-no.
On the other hand, I could opt for a square table that has to pull out seats. Also, considered the versions of tables wherein you can reduce their size when you don’t want to use the whole part.
If I wanted a kitchen table to be unique, then you needn’t purchase them in a set of table and chairs. I could buy them separately to go on and make the right creative and unique statement.
I also checked out the shape of the room as that certainly has an impact on the kind of table that I should go ahead and choose for myself. The three things to keep in mind while selecting the right table were the size, shape and then the design. Do not only let the configuration override the decision for the small kitchen table.
You can see my kitchen design on the small photo, I’m planning to add further furniture shortly, and I will send you pictures of how they all look together…. Thanks for the great website you run, it inspires me a lot, keep on the same way!
