$5 Buffet to Benefit Eastern IL Foodbank

Thursday, November 29, 2012: Piato’s is hosting another $5 Buffet to provide money and non-perishable foods to Eastern Illinois Foodbank and FACET (Friends Against Children’s Empty Tummies.) Eastern Illinois Foodbank and FACET provide backpacks filled with non-perishables to children who are in poverty or who are identified as at risk of hunger. These backpacks are at times all these children have to eat over weekends and long school breaks. Piato’s will be accepting food donations in addition to the cost of the buffet to help supplement EIF and FACET’s efforts.
Buffet service will be from 11am to 2 pm on Thursday, November 29th. The cost of $5 can be paid in cash, check or debit/credit card. There will be no gift certificates accepted at this buffet. Buffet will be dine in or carry only. Please note that Piato’s must cover the cost of food before donation. Additional donations to the cause are always welcomed and appreciated. The following is a list of the food items that will be accepted for donation to the backpack program;
• Peanut Butter & Jelly
• Canned Chicken, Tuna or other Meats
• Canned Vegetables & Fruit
• Ramen Noodles
• Pasta Noodles
• Nothing in glass containers please!
