CU Reading: The Station Theatre Celebrates Twain

Start Date: Oct. 14, 2012
Time: 2:00 PM

A great writer and great performers come together at this very special event, as Urbana's multi-talented Celebration Company offers dramatic readings from the works of Mark Twain. Experience the richness of Twain's writing — by turns irreverent and humorous, cantankerous and sentimental, homespun and politically provocative — but always delightful to the ear! This event will also be presented at The Urbana Free Library on Sun., Oct. 14, at 2 pm. (Note: These events are being presented at our libraries, not at the Station Theatre.) For adults.
The CU Reading program encourages everyone in Champaign-Urbana to read and discuss the same book, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. CU Reading is co-sponsored by the Champaign Public Library and The Urbana Free Library, with support from the Champaign Public Library Friends and the Friends of The Urbana Free Library.
