Join University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener Program for the 2014 Gardening Insights; a day of horticulture classes for gardeners of all ages and levels.

Cost: $25.00 for Classes, Keynote Speaker, & Lunch (Additional cost from some workshops.)
Choose from 13 different classes throughout the day with topics such as: Growing Great Tomatoes, Seed Starting, Succulents, Daylilies, Landscape Design, Floral Designs, Micro Greens, Backyard Birds, Emerald Ash Borer, Horticulture Photography, Pollinators, Soil Testing, and Native Grasses
Keynote Speaker – Melinda Myers – “Create a Colorful Garden Filled with Birds, Butterflies, & Blossoms”
Plant a few colorful annuals, throw in a little caterpillar food, add some tasty seedpods and you have the perfect recipe for a garden fit for birds and butterflies. We’ll take a close look at creating a habitat and selecting plants suitable for attracting birds and butterflies.
Melinda Myers, gardening expert, TV/radio host, author & columnist, has more than 30 years of horticulture experience and has written over 20 gardening books. She is a columnist and contributing editor for Birds and Blooms magazine and writes the twice monthly “Gardeners’ Questions” newspaper column. Melinda also has a regular column in the nationally distributed Gardening How-To magazine as well as Wisconsin Gardening magazine.
