When Abraham Lincoln travelled the 8th Judicial Circuit, the judge, David Davis, was his friend. Davis and his wife wrote hundreds of letters to one another during this era, many of which reveal important details about Lincoln and the life on the road. Pat Schey from the David Davis Mansion State Historic Site has spent the last several years transcribing these letters and offers her unique insight on Lincoln, Davis and the circuit. Free.
