On February 8, 2013, Peer Court, Inc. will be hosting its annual Peer Court Auction at Turtle Run Banquet Center in Danville, Il. The auction preview will occur from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. During the preview, Peer Court will provide hors d’oeuvre. At 7:00 P.M. Peer Court will begin the live auction..
Peer Court, Inc. will be auctioning items that everyone will enjoy. Many local businesses donate gift baskets filled with specialty items. Items that will be auctioned include, but are not limited to, tickets to local concerts and plays, local art, school and office supplies, pet supplies, quilts, sports memorabilia, crafting baskets, specialty dinners, tickets to sporting events, and much more.
Peer Court is celebrating our 20th anniversary in Vermilion County. Peer Court is a diversion program that aims to help first time juvenile offenders take responsibility for their choices. During a Peer Court trial, juveniles are sentenced by a jury of their peers to a comprehensive sentence that includes community service work, jury duty, a tour of the local Public Safety Building, apologies, essays and various other components. It is the goal of Peer Court to teach juveniles to take responsibilities for their choices.
The money received from the Peer Court Auction goes to funding Peer Court, Inc.
Peer Court is a United Way Agency.
Tickets are $10 per person and can be bought at the door or before the date of the Peer Court Auction. 50/50 Tickets are currently on sale by contacting the Peer Court Office at 217-443-9044. Raffle Tickets are $5/ticket or $20/5 tickets.
